Dow AgroSciences LLC announced today that it has finalized the acquisition of Dairyland Seed Co., Inc., and Bio-Plant Research. Dow AgroSciences previously announced the agreement to acquire Dairyland Seed and Bio-Plant Research on August 8, 2008. Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

“Dairyland Seed’s investment in R&D, its product portfolio and brand will strengthen our corn, soybean and alfalfa business,” said Jerome Peribere, president and CEO, Dow AgroSciences. “Going forward, Dairyland Seed customers will have additional access to industry leading germplasm and technology for their Dairyland branded corn, soybean, and alfalfa seed and increased access to superior traits like HERCULEX^® Insect Protection traits, SmartStax™, Dow Herbicide Tolerance (DHT) technology and future technologies.”
