Product & Application Options
Prevention is the single most effective and economical way to protect our natural resources against the spread of invasive species. Unfortunately, it’s too late for many areas. Invasives already are well-established and advancing rapidly. The good news is, you can prevent the spread of invasive species and you can reclaim land and resources already lost. Dow AgroSciences is committed to helping you through well-researched products and treatment programs, and the support required for successful implementation. We’ve aligned our products and specialists in distinct segments to help ensure the programs we prescribe best meet your individual vegetation management goals.
Noncropland products are ideal for vegetation managers responsible for utility, highway, railroad and pipeline rights-of-way, as well as national forests, forest plantations, parks, drainage ditch banks, nature preserves, and other publicly and privately owned land. It is these managers who maintain the safety, aesthetics, usability, wildlife habitat and biodiversity of their properties.
Our products and programs are designed to suit your individual situation and vegetation management goals. Through our dedicated research and development team, we developed the industry’s most reliable and effective chemistries, along with innovative application methods to help you meet or exceed your unique objectives. Whether your specific challenge calls for nonselective or selective control, spot or broadcast application, or residual or no residual control, you’ll find the right solutions to fit your needs.

Using a novel, breakthrough molecule, Milestone VM and Milestone VM Plus specialty herbicides provide long-lasting control of problem weeds, including noxious and invasive species. Milestone VM and Milestone VM Plus control annual, biennial and perennial weeds like nothing you’ve seen before. |
| Garlon® herbicides‡ |
The foundation for many successful invasive plant management programs. Available in an amine formulation (Garlon 3A) and ester formulations (Garlon 4 Ultra and Forestry Garlon XRT ), these selective herbicides are well-suited for a wide variety of application methods and control a long list of invasive plants. |

Tordon ® herbicides ‡
|
The key component to many invasive plant management programs. Tordon K offers thorough translocation as well as soil residual activity for season-long control on a broad spectrum of invasive species. With the addition of 2,4-D to the formulation, Tordon 101 Mixture provides an even wider range of invasive plant control. |
| Vista ® herbicide ‡ |
Offers postemergence control of kochia, including ALS- and dicamba-resistant/tolerant biotypes. When mixed with Garlon, Tordon or Accord herbicides, Vista improves the control of hard-to-control species. |

Controls some of the toughest invasive species, including mimosa, redbud, thistle, locust, yellow starthistle, kudzu and knapweed. Transline affects all parts of the target plant, including the roots, taking out species that establish extensive root systems. |
| Pathfinder® II herbicide |
This convenient, ready-to-use product containing the same active ingredient in Garlon® herbicides, is mixed with a naturally occurring, nonpetroleum oil diluent to contribute to superior penetrating capability on woody species. Usable year-round, Pathfinder II eliminates the work of mixing, reduces the potential for applicator exposure and ensures proper rates. |
| Pathway® herbicide |
A ready-to-use herbicide designed specifically for year-round cut-surface treatments on woody species. Pathway contains the same active ingredient as Tordon herbicides with the addition of 2,4-D and blue dye to help applicators ensure proper coverage. |
| Rodeo® herbicide‡ |
The premier choice for emerged aquatic vegetation control. Rodeo provides consistent control of more than 190 emerged grasses, broadleaf weeds and brush species. |
| DMA® 4 IVM herbicide‡ |
With its versatile label, DMA 4 IVM authorizes vegetation managers to treat many places that other labels don’t allow. A 2,4-D product, DMA 4 IVM is labeled for application to emerged, submerged or floating aquatic vegetation, including weeds and brush in standing water or on banks and shores of these aquatic sites.
|
| Spike® herbicides |
Surface applied herbicides for woody plant control, including highways, fencerows, industrial sites, clearings for wildlife habitats, utility and railroads rights-of-way, and pipelines. Spike 20P and Spike 80DF, can be used for preemergence and postemergence control. |
